A 14-year-old boy reportedly raped two boys at Central ward in Goodhope last Wednesday while they were walking home from school.
The boys who are neighbours- both aged eight and doing Standard 3 and 4 respectively, are said to have met the suspect known to them who then asked them to accompany him to the pond and they followed him.
It is alleged that upon arrival at the pond the suspect who is a Form 1 student, told the younger boys to undress before he raped them one after the other.
It was after he released them when one of the boys reported the ordeal to his mother after he arrived home and the woman reported the incident to the police.
Assistant Superintendent, Bigani Mpindi of Goodhope Police Station confirmed the incident to this publication and that investigations were still underway.
“The incident was reported the same day at around 1800hrs after occurrence at midday around 1200hrs. We have made arrangements to take the boys to the social workers for counselling as we continue with our investigations,” explained the police officer, further revealing that such rape cases are not frequent in his policing area.
