Following his 4-1 conquest over Gaborone Unite yesterday, Orapa United Coach Daniel Chico Nare says he is now looking to grab his first ever Top8 silverware when his charges meet Township Rollers in the cup final.

Gaborone United opened the scoreline through a well taken Kabelo Seakanyeng penalty before the Ostriches leveled the scoreline through Tendayi Nyumasi in the 30th minute.

In the second half Nare’s charges were in a mean and magnificent mood with Onkabetse Makgantai extending the lead in the 54th minute before Kobamelo Kebaikanye netted the third, further stretching the scoreline beyond Moyagoleele’s reach.

Man of the Match, Kebaikanye, completed his brace in stoppage time to seal GU’s fate and further confirm the Ostriches’ cup final date against Mapalastina

Despite his side emerging victorious with a 5-1 aggregate, Nare said he was disappointed with some of the referee’s decisions especially the penalty. “It is very disappointing. This is a contact sport. Sometimes I wonder if these referees’ decisions are premeditated or are just mistakes,” said Nare.

Nare said reaching the final of the Mascom Top8 Cup was a great achievement for him.

For his part, Moyagoleele Coach Rodolfo Zapata, said he could not field his influential striker,Tumisang Orebonye, as he is nursing an injury.

He said they tried different tactics and formation but they failed to defeat the formidable Orapa United. “There are no excuses but everyone knows the financial and politics situation at my club. Orapa signed great players, at least we tried,” said Zapata.
