Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) contestant for Boswelatlou ward, Themba Setimela, says Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) government has neglected public servants in Lobatse.
Setimela said this during a UDC rally in Lobatse this afternoon.
He said Lobatse Sbrana Hospital houses which accommodate patients have no doors and window panes.
“Roads have more potholes and there is a lot of littering but government is not taking any action. This is our time to take over and bring changes. Lets vote UDC on the 3rd of October. There is not even 1 local government project in Boswelatlou. Everything was done by Central government,” said the Councillor.
The candidature for the constituency is a two horse race between Setimela and BDP’s Zubeida Raphael, after Botswana Congress Party chose to throw their weight behind the UDC.
The seat became vacant after UDC’s sitting councillor, Kabelo Sebako, resigned and took up full time employment as an accountant at Tongaat Hullet.
