Ian Khama Seretse Khama

President Ian Khama Seretse Khama has finally decided to pay a visit to the politically alienated Tati East constituency where he is expected to shade light on the current political scenario in the area.
The constituency is in the hands of Samson Guma-Moyo who has since crossed from BDP to the newly formed Botswana Movement for Democracy.
Although there is a rumor that people might have been influenced to boycott the envisaged star rally to be held over the weekend at Tsamaya village, some people from the constituency said they will not be daunted by anyone or anything from attending Khama’s rally while others made it clear that they will not attend as BDP was no longer for them.

Rosina Henry (77) (Tshesebe village)
Khama is our leader and no one is going to stop us from attending his rally. Only thieves hate him because he is targeting them. I will be going to the rally together with my children because I am die hard supporter of the ruling party. Truly speaking I don’t understand why people have negative attitude towards Khama, because his efforts and achievement are open for all to see.

Boitumelo Ditshoto (25) (Tshesebe village)
I cannot afford to miss President Khama’s visit to Tsamaya village. He is one leader who has people’s welfare at heart and that is why he is expelling thieves and corrupt people from the public service. Just imagine, when Khama took over, we saw a lot of positive changes and we are still seeing them even today. I will be attending Khama’s rally and will advise all those in their right minds to go meet their president over the weekend

I won’t be attending the president’s rally because I now belong to BMD and I will be too busy mobilizing for supporters. Yes I was a BDP member but I have changed and I am not attending because some people might mistake my presence at the rally.  I however want to tell people that changing from the ruling party to the opposition does not necessary mean that one should hate or lack respect for the president. Khama is still the head of State and he deserves to be respected by all Batswana including members of the opposition only.

Wampona Sekgopi 29 (Matshelagabedi Village)
Although I respect Khama as the state President, I am now a member of BMD. My MP and Councillor crossed over to the new party so I decided to follow them and as for attending the rally I would have loved to attend but I don’t have the mean to go there.  I have been supporting Moyo since he became an MP and I am prepared to support him even with BMD.

Khama should come and address us and no one would stop us from listening to him. I am a member of BCP but Khama is my president and I still respect him and would always honour his visit. In fact here in Tsamaya we want him to come because the MP and the councillor have neglected us. Since elections Moyo has never come to say thank you to people who voted him into power. Things are getting out of control and Moyo is hardly seen although he is a resident of Tsamaya. Although I am from the opposition I don’t think people should be carried away with bitter people who are rebelling from being called to order.

  4. Chenjelani Baraedi! this guy is losing it, your credentials are going down. Take a leaf from Ephraim Keoreng, he reports the situation and sides. You would do a great job working for the Daily news. your articles are going down at a very fast pace. Please report news not your feelings!

  5. I so much agree with everyone who says the president has the interest of his nation at heart,I mean ditlhabololo tse a di dirang,no president has ever done, therefore all those who have been mo phathing with the formers are challenged.Of cause if you see something very new that has a progress and you are used to what you can call “the normal”,o itse atlhama o je.You retaliate when new things happen because you wish it was you being recognised and known for making change, thats exactly what that new party is doing. The other thing is they feel they cant be told they are wrong and that they have failed while on their positions.I mean ke tshika tsa senna dilwang fela,fa ba sena go kgobolwa ke go ja motogo dintsho,ba tla boela lapeng.Moo ke bo haempernyana ba dithinejara fa di simolola go nna le wet dreams, they think everything belongs to them and they can do what they want.Fa Botswana a setse a le fale ka ditlhabololo,ba tla abo ba itharabologelwa ba re re ba tsee gape,O ba swabise Kgama ba tle ba je mmu jaanong.Le gone ke ba ba batlang go direlwa “bo naa ga gona seshabo motho a sa se reka”,gatwe a re direleng lefatshe jaaka banna ba lefatshe ba re rona re “bonnana”Le pina ya sechaba ya re tsogang banna le tlogele go ija dinkonko. That man ga a mo go kgotsofatseng phathi o mo go direleng lefatshe, yes as a former soilder his heart is up to defending/helping the world,in this case his Country…he is used to that…so what!!Go dira bomolelo go kile ga nna bosula kae…You are all sad lona ba BAGANA MOLAO DIGANANA(BMD)You are a blessing morwa Kgama and stay focused…se tshwengwe ke batho basena mokwatla as men…what a disgrace to mankind!!!!A E JEKE DOMI…SIMPLE,GATWE A E JEKE,JEKE E A TSHOLETSA,THIS IS WHY A TSHOLETSA ITSHOLELO YA LEFATSHE THE BEST WAY HE CAN,O TLHOKA BATHUSI KE GORE…BANANA A RE NO THUSENG,BOKAMOSO KE JWA RONA,THOSE ONCE BA SAD AND GRUMPY.PERIOD!!!!

  7. Thank you Mr President, you indeed are born to lead. You just showed the world that a ruler doesnt just sit in a nice building, with a beautiful chair sorrunded by soldiers but goes out to serve his people. You are a true servant and a sheperd to our nation.

  8. When we talk politics,we are talking about “THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST”the strong ones will always fall, wake up dust themselves, put themselves together and move on,they will always find ways of settling the disputes within the party and come up with ways of survival whilst still there BUT the weak ones wil always run away, get lost and come up with new weak ideas and party names.

  10. My appeal to the ordinary people of our beautiful country, who put it ahead of everything else, is that this is the President to work with for the good of our nation! If we pull together do deal with common concerns and challenges, and push in the right direction, we can mesmirise even the worst of critics and embarrass doubters for he passionately loves this nation and he has a backbone! Goodluck Mr President!

  15. Sure guys, especially Isaac and Chris M. But I am wondering if you guys just comment on The Voice only. What about Sunday Standard and Gazzete?

  16. Batswana , let us stand united here, give our full support to our president. Some individuals are giving him a headache for nothing. More than ones he has spoken, that he is a democrat…He stands to defend democracy nationally and internationally. President Khama ‘s administration is results oriented. It is interesting. He once talked about rights AND responsibility, that where your rights ends begins mine. ; that we must account for our doings. Khama ‘s intelligence need not be undermined. He uses what you call experiance. Remember that experiance is the best teacher. He want the people of this country on the driving seat of the economy of this country. We need not disappoint him beacause that might result in disappointing our selves. Men and women, young and old, educated and non educated ; together we stand…… VIVA KHAMA………..

  20. What has Khama done for the economy? Nothing!! I do not know where all of you are getting your information from. Khama has been detrimental to our economy. Never before have our foreign reserves been so low. Never before has our unemployment lines been so long. All these ‘developments’ are to fool all of you because our children are going to pay for our mistakes.Nothing is for free. He does not have any children so he does not care. We are now less secure and less transparent. The is more corruption. I do not know what you guys are celebrating. Learn more before you speak.

  21. @Robati

my dear Khama is here to amend what has been damaged. what has the past president done to ipmrove the economy and the low employment rates. Nothing also.
