Murder suspect, Bongani Solomon, was last Friday granted bail by a Francistown High Court following an urgent application.
Solomon is a suspect in the murder of Special Constable Daniel Mooketsi, 26, on June 1st at Francistown’s Block 4 location.
When appearing before Justice Zibani Makhwade last Friday, Solomon was ordered to bind himself with P2000.00 and to also bring two sureties signing themselves with the same amount.
‘‘Report to Kutlwano police station every Monday and Friday, hand your travelers documents to the station commander and also report at Kutlwano police every time you want to leave Francistown,’’ Judge Makhwade said in his ruling.
Solomon was represented by Attorney Mbiganyi Mizha while Bedu Masole represented the state who did not oppose his bail application.
Mooketsi was found hanging from the rafters of the house by his girlfriend who then reported the matter to the police.
According to Kutlwano police, Assistant Superintendent Ruth Sechele, the girlfriend reported that the father of his child had hanged himself.
When the police got to the scene they immediately ruled out suicide as the deceased had his hands tied behind his back and his mouth sealed with a green tape.
