Francistown police have arrested a man suspected to be at the centre of the murder of Special Constable Daniel Mooketsi on Thursday.
Bongane Solomon of Somerset Extension appeared briefly before Francistown Chief Magistrate Gaedupe Makgatho court this Monday.
The state alleges that Solomon murdered Mooketsi 26 on 1st June this year in Francistown Block 4 location.
Prosecuting the case, Gasemotho Pitagano pleaded with the magistrate to remand the accused in custody as the matter is still fresh and to also give the police time to gather information.
Mooketsi was found hanging from the rafters of the house by his girlfriend who then reported the matter to the police.
According to Kutlwano police, assistant superintendent the girlfriend reported that the father of his child had hanged himself.
When the police got to the scene they immediately ruled out suicide as the deceased had his hands tied behind his back and his mouth sealed with a green tape.
