Beauty and Slimming Spa in collaboration with Gabzfm unveiled the Summer Bodies Are Made In Winter Campaign to a full house at their African Mall outlet on Tuesday evening.

The campaign brings together a group of individuals to undergo a three months training programme to improve wellness and overall lifestyle.

Revealed as the campaign’s ambassador, veteran radio personality, One Rabantheng will together with “friends” embark on the health challenge programme that includes a series of specialized spa treatments and a rigorous training regime offered by Fitness Bootcamp Botswana.

The latter specializes in tailor made military style exercise course to boost overall health benefits such as weight loss.

“At a certain age most people give up on their health and looks and start to blame the fitness deterioration on nature, however I am determined to prove this theory wrong.”Rabantheng said, when explaining her participation in the campaign.

The Queen of Talk Radio further shared that it was important to be conscious of the value of following a healthy lifestyle to promote self love.

“How does one manage to get on with life’s demands if they do not feel and look great to attend to a multiple of roles we are all faced with?” She asked.

Another participant, Incepta Media Communications Managing Director, Thabo Majola shared that he was prepared to commit to the programme and hopefully lose some weight especially around the midriff.

“Like most people, I have allowed work and other interests to take over and let health choices take the back burner, but I am ready for the challenge.”

Beauty and Slimming Spa owner, Otsile Molefe told guests and the campaign drivers of the high technology slimming machines that the participants will be exposed to during their daily scheduled hour long sessions with the Spa’s therapists.

The participants will for the duration of the programme undergo laser lipo treatments complemented with weight plate sessions.

Exposure to these, promote fat disintegrate and excessive sweating to remove toxins from the body.

All the participants signed participatory agreements that outlined the programme structure and additional information to assist the participants to achieve best results.

Goitse Makopa, a therapist at the Spa, explained in an interview that all Spa personnel apply high hygiene standards to ensure the safety and comfort of clients.

After each use, the machines are sanitized whilst the bed clothes(covers) are changed and fresh ones used for a new consultation.

Makopa’s colleague, Bonnie Lepono alluded to the high percentage of satisfied clients who make use of their facilities.

“We receive great feedback as clients notice a significant reduction around their problem areas and this has gotten the Spa referrals. The Spa has been in operation since October 2014 and there are two outlets in Gaborone with plans to open a branch in Francistown in the near future.”

“We have done exceptionally well even though we have not embarked on a marketing campaign but have consulted clients largely from word of mouth referrals. When followed closely, our services can shed ten years off ones age. A healthier appearance and improved outlook gained from the confidence boost one receives from the treatment is phenomenal,” said Makopa

Excited Fashion Designer, Mothusi Lesolle said that even though he anticipates a hard road ahead he could not wait to start the programme.

“I make beautiful clothes for people who in turn are delighted to show off their great figures in my garments yet I currently don’t feel excited to dress up as I have allowed myself to get out of shape. I am up for the challenge and in three months time I know I will be all smiles flaunting my slimmer and healthier self.”

These sentiments were also expressed by other participants in Lorato Tebogo, Public Relations Manager, Lame Modise, a journalist with Echo newspaper and Mimi Gowoka an Events Manager at Incepta Media.
