Queen of Kwaito-Kwasa, Naledi ‘Slizer’ Kaisara and her football star boyfriend, Kabelo Seakanyeng escaped death in a police shoot out last Friday following an ugly confrontation with the plain clothed officers in Mogoditshane.
According to an eye witness, the couple who were in the company of a friend, exchanged profanities with the officers during the altercation.
The offended police officers are said to have pulled out their guns and started shooting at the singer’s car which was driven by Seakanyeng. “At that point Slizer and Seakanyeng drove into the SSKB BDF Camp at high speed but the police followed them,” he said.
Seakanyeng is said to have lost control of the vehicle as he was trying to dodge the bullets.
The three were arrested by Military Police who detained them before calling Mogoditshane police.
Police Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner, Dipheko Motube confirmed that they were investigating a case in which Slizer and Seakanyeng clashed with police officers. “I cannot give out more details because the matter is still under investigation,” said Motube.
Although the Gaborone United and Zebras player was treated and discharged together with his girlfriend, the two preferred not to comment on the matter. “I think it is better that we do not comment now as it may complicate things,” she said.
Slizer narrowly escaped death again towards the end of last year in a road accident and she was hospitalised with minor injuries.
