Open letter to BDPYL- CHAIRMAN
The residents of Francistown South have learnt recently the speculations that there is a plot directed for the downfall of Honourable Wynter Mmolotsi so that he does not retain the constituency in the next general elections.
In the plan your name is being suggested as a potential candidate to wrestle the parliamentary seat from him by 2019.
If there is an element of truth in this matter may I genuinely advice you to reconsider such a decision.
This has shocked me Honourable councillor that you confidently think you can assume such a position.
Mr.Andy Boatile you are not positioned enough to wrestle this constituency as your contributions to its development is not known to the residents.
We have shared the same political platform at UB when we were both members of BDP –GS-26 and to me your strength is not enough to surpass that of Wynter Mmolotsi.
The move is a great mistake that you will live to regret in your political career.
This is the battle that you will not win as the support base on the ground for the incumbent Member of Parliament is solid.
This is proven by an increase in the number of people casting their votes in his favour in the past general elections from 2009 and 2014, respectively.
I had to pen this letter as a concerned political friend to request you to surrender because whatever political strategic campaign you want to implore won’t work.
Do not waste resources trying to lure people to vote for you as that is just an impossible plan, it’s like chasing the wind.
An assumption claiming that the honourable incumbent Member of Parliament is relaxed enjoying victory is baseless as he continues to visit residents in the constituency.
The person you want to contest against is a hard worker and very committed to represent the needs of the members of Francistown South.
Most people including the elders and youth cherish the programmes introduced by Wynter Mmolotsi to improve the quality of their livelihood.
He is the Messiah sent by God to lead us and knows most people by names in the constituency.
A programme such as the burial insurance scheme has benefited the residents and has proposed the enrollment for medical aid scheme when the plan materialises.
The motions that he has proposed in the past sitting of parliament such as recommending the back to school programme and proposing regulation of the English medium fees are great ideas that build our confidence of the residents despite their political affiliation to rally behind him.
Concerned Francistown South Resident.
