Nswazwi hosts coaching clinic

Ghetto Stars Sporting Club will on Tuesday host a coaching clinic for young male and female football players in Nswazwi Village.

A project geared at unearthing and nurturing young football talent, Ghetto Stars is run from Francistown by school teacher Christopher Mokoti.

Speaking to Voice Sport Mokoti who has also worked as Botswana Football Association Francistown Regional Coach said he expects at least 250 young players to attend the event.

“We will have under -15 to under -20 players Francistown, Tutume, Matobo and Goshwe for the event which will start at half past seven in the morning and end at four in the afternoon. During this time we will do basic coaching and talk to the players about life skills such as ways of keeping away from substance abuse and other harmful habits” said Mokoti.

According to Mokoti he roped in amongst others Coach Kennedy Simusokwe and former Tafic and Mogoditshane Fighters player Lovemore Mokgweetsi to help out.

He says however he will gladly work with anybody who can bring value to the event as it is a community based exercise.

Anybody who has a coaching qualification or knowledge of life skills is welcome to work with us on the day” Mokoti said.
