A Francistown father who was left holding three children by his wife of 20 years is calling on the public to help him find the run- away mum.
51-year-old Phinot Ndaba said the mother of his four children, Betty John, left home on December 12, 2011 on a mission to buy Christmas clothes for the family and never returned home.
“I have looked for her all over and also went to check for her at her parents’ place in Themashanga but she was nowhere to be found. Even the police search for Betty proved fruitless,” he said revealing that he was now stuck with the children who are always asking the whereabouts of their mother.
When Betty left her matrimonial home she took with her their last born toddler
“I am just shocked because she never indicated that she was unhappy at home. The only thing which seems to confuse me is that the woman liked to abuse the children a thing which I didn’t support but I never thought she could take such a decision in protest,” said Ndaba.
He said as a person living on temporary jobs, life was proving difficult for him without the mother of his children.
“I just want her to come home as soon as possible. If she feels that I have been bad to her all along, I am prepared to change because things are tough for me without her.
“I have moved into her parents’ house with the children to prove that I am not going anywhere,” he said.
Meanwhile a relative who spoke on condition of anonymity however alleged that Ndaba was to blame for the disappearance of his wife.
He accused him of entering into a polygamous relationship and even moved together with the missing woman to go and stay with his mistress.
