JOURNEY TO THE NORTH: Chiefs

2011/2012 beMobile Premier League Champions Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Ecco City Greens rivalry continues this Saturday in a Mascom Top 8 semifinal clash penciled for Francistown stadium.
The ground is expected be full to capacity as the two heavy weights look to get an early advantage going into the second leg. Many Ecco supporters will have fresh memories of the two teams last match when Pontsho Moloi broke their hearts with his last minute equalizer, to tie the match at 3-all.
Speaking to Voice Sport Mamoja Diskie Public Relations Officer Keletso ‘14’ Gomotsang said as  former  Mascom league Champions they will fight with everything they have to win this cup.

“With only one game left we have secured top eight position in the log and our focus is now on the cup games. We should get one of them if not all. The team is in good shape, players are fit and we are ready to compete. Chiefs are good when going forward, they have good wingers but my boys will not allow them to break through. This is going to be a tight game, we know what to expect from Chiefs and we are determined to win. This game is going to be a final before the final,” said Gomotsang.
He said they expect a large support as Ecco is the only team from North left in cup games therefore representing the region. He also said they want to make history again as they were the first team from the north to win the league in 2006/2007 season.

Magosi Public Relations Officer Clifford Mogomotsi said they are coming to Francistown for a win. He said they want to score as many goals as they can so that they can have a solid advantage of the away goal rule.
“Ecco has always given us a tough time and we cannot forget when we played 3-3 in Coke semi finals which we won on penalties. They are a good side but this season we are a different team and our aim is to win all the cups. We are injury free and the mood in the camp is very high since being crowned league champions. We are going to play them three times, next weekend they are coming this side for Coke competitions,” he said.
The game starts at 1500hrs.
