Ramatlabama police are investigating a murder case in which a 41-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his 34-year-old girlfriend at Pitsane village.
Police have confirmed that the incident took place at Pitsane West last week Saturday.
Details of the incident are that the suspect and the deceased were concubines as they had left their respective spouses at home.
It is said that the deceased had just returned from clubbing that evening when he received a phone message from his other girlfriend.
When he went over to meet the woman, he is said to have found her in the presence of the suspect.
The Pitsane born suspect, apparently blinded by jealousy and anger is said to have stabbed the boyfriend with a sharp knife below the stomach and he was rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead.
Confirming the tragic incident, Botswana police spokesperson, Witness Bosija revealed that the suspect is currently remanded in police custody. “She appeared before Lobatse magistrate court last week Tuesday,” Bosija said and added that investigations on what could have led to the incident are on going,” said Bosija.
The case continues before Lobatse magistrate court on June 6.
