Briton in court for forcing minors to touch his manhood
A 64 year old British national was this week fighting for his freedom after he was dragged before the Broadhurst Magistrates court charged with two counts of indecent assault.

Lawrence James Hutchings looked startled as he stood in the dock pleadingly looking at Magistrate Daniel Nkau who turned down his bail application on Wednesday morning as he failed to produce the necessary documents.

Defence attorney Tengo Rubadiri asked the court to give him time to consult with his client further before he could submit a proper bail application.

Hutchings is accused of forcing two young girls aged eight and nine to touch his penis until he ejaculated.

It is alleged that on Friday last week Hutchings met the young girls and lured them to his house in Broadhurst where he forced them to touch his manhood until he got satisfaction.

A grandmother to one of the girls this week told The Voice that her granddaughter had been playing with her friend when they met Hutchings. “It was in the afternoon when a friend to my granddaughter’s friend visited her from Tlokweng as usual. When she came home later she told me how the white man had lured them with sweets to his house where the despicable incident took place.”

The irate grandmother would not be dragged into revealing further details as she said the police had warned her not to. “The case is before the court and we have been advised not to reveal most details of the incident at this stage as this could jeopardize the case. I am still boiling inside after this incident because these are young kids and they have been subjected to such a disgusting experience that has left permanent scars in their memories. We are determined to see to it that justice takes it’s course and that the culprit faces the full weight of the law.”

The case continues with Inspector Molatlhegi representing the state while attorney Rubadiri appears on behalf of the accused.
