The Botswana Innovation Hub (BIH) yesterday (26 October 2017), held its first Botswana Innovation 2017 Exposition at the soon to be completed BIH Park in Block 8, Gaborone.
Hailed a success by the BIH Board Member and Ministry of Tertiary Education Research Science and Technology Acting Permanent Secretary, Dr Kekgonne Baipoledi, the Expo saw hordes of local innovators and entrepreneurs come together under one roof to share experiences and expertise on their varied business ventures.
Speaking at the event earlier today, BIH Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Alan Boshwaen said the hub is well on its way to becoming the innovation centre of choice for local innovators.
“It has been a long and gruelling journey to get to this stage,” he said. Boshwaen also noted that the mandate of the BIH is to among others, assist in the creation of employment, detect economic uncertainties as well as ensure global competitiveness.
Aulora Suerga Stally, a consultant from the African Innovation Foundation facilitated the exposition.
