- Students host show to build a library
Music will be in the air tonight (Friday) as South African Hip-hop Artist Khuli Chana thrills fans whilst 18 local beauties tantalize revellers with their moves during the Miss Tshwaraganang Charitable Society showdown to be held at the University of Botswana Amphitheatre.
The event, organized by Tshwaraganang Charitable Society, a student club at University of Botswana, will be raising funds for charity. According to the Society’s mouthpiece, Mpho Nkisa, proceeds from the event will go towards building a library. “We have put together this so that people can have fun whilst also giving back to the community.
We have been working towards building the library in Sehunou, a village 60kms from Serowe, however, donors have not been forthcoming. So we couldn’t just sit back and give up,” explained the UB lad.
At 7pm, the ramp will be set and it will be all systems go as other artists like Helen, Eureka, Sick-Bunch and P-K Maada join Khuli Chana and the models to get the party started.
“For only P50 you get entertained and your money goes towards people’s education,” said Nkisa, who gave an assurance that police and campus security will be on guard to ensure that the fun is not going to be disturbed by mishaps.
