FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Rollers fans came to the table

Award winning Voice lens man Kabo Lemphorwana captured moments from the epic clash between fans’ favourites Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs last Saturday.
As one of the most early awaited games in the Be Mobile Premier League calendar, it is as much a social event as a contest for the three points on offer and the bragging rights that go with them.
A guaranteed crowd puller never short of incident, last weekend’s game lived up to expectations. Long before the game the crowds took to the streets in their colourful attires, and by noon, three and a half hours before kick-off, some stands at the congested UB stadium had already been filled to near capacity.

MESSAGE BOARD: Chiefs fans making their point

The match itself proved to be another close encounter, with Rollers emerging 2-1 victors. As the final whistle blew a clash broke out on the sidelines between two opposing fans. The bloody battle saw the Rollers fan overcoming his rival who had to be whisked away by the police, seemingly pained more by the double defeat than the injury he suffered.
