The sun rays are getting harsher by the minute and this calls out for some chic UV protection with the right frame. From aviators, terminators, Cat-eyed sunnies to round frames.

We know you want a stylish frame but just don’t forget the right frame for your face. The sunglass size should be in proportion with the face size.

The frame shape should contrast with the shape of the face. A larger frame goes with a larger face and a small frame with a smaller face. So how do you know which ones are right for you? Here is your GATSHY guide to eye wear on how to choose the right frame for your face.

•    A heart-shaped face is characterized by a wide forehead, narrower jaw line, high cheekbones, and a narrow chin. Go for cat-eye shaped sunglasses—they’ll accentuate your face shape the best. Sunglasses with round edges on heart-shaped glasses often look great and can soften the upper cheek and eyes.
GaTsh recommends: Cat eye, wayfarer and sport frames•    Oval Face Shape: This is the most flexible shape because it goes with almost any style or frame. This face shape looks good in just about ANY frame. Square shaped frames with gently rounded edges.
GaTsh recommends: Wayfarer, aviators, over-sized.

•    Round Face Shape: Your frames should make the face appear longer, thinner and fuller rounded cheeks. Look for wider frames with angular- rectangular styles. Angular, square, and rectangular shaped frames elongate the face and look fabulous on round shaped faces. They have to be equal to or slightly wider than the broadest part of the face. This will create a longer profile.
GaTsh recommends Cat eye, wayfarer and square frames.

•    Diamond face: This face shape has wide or high cheekbones with a narrow forehead and chin. Make sure the frame styles are no wider than the top of the cheekbones. Go for oval or rounded sunnies and soften the contour of your face. Softly curved frames works just perfect too.
GaTsh recommends a hint of cat-eye

•    Triangular face: Cat-eyed sunnies are just perfect for this kind of face. This face has a narrow jaw and a wide forehead. The frames should soften the lower portion of the face by accenting the eye area and balancing the jawline. You can also try metal frames with rimless bottom.
GaTsh recommends cat-eyed, aviators
