Dark n’ Lovely joins the fight against HIV/AIDS
Soft Sean Carson, trading as Dark and Lovely has joined in the fight against HIV/AIDS epidemic by introducing a campaign called Hair Dressers against HIV/AIDS.
This was revealed by the company’s Export Training Manager for Africa, Bongani Mabunda in a recent interview.
“We realized that our clients, being hair dressers are exposed to a lot of dangers as they use machines and chemicals which can easily lead to them being infected or infecting customers with the virus.”
Mabunda said that his company will organize workshops for hairdressers on how best to sterilize their machines and the general hygiene within a salon.
“Last week we organized a technical training workshop for hair salons in and around Gaborone which was held at Eureka wholesalers and more than 77 hair dressers attended. This to us was a huge success as it also shows the seriousness of the matter,” he said.
Mabunda also revealed that next year they will launch Golden Scissor Awards in Botswana where hairdressers will battle it out in a competition for best hairdo using their products.
