Kutlwano Police in have confirmed the death of Botho University student whose body was found hanging from a tree in Francistown.
Superintendent Neo Serumola says the body was found at Mambo sewerage ponds near Botho University’s Francistown campus on Wednesday morning.
He said they received a report in the morning from by a passerby who was looking for his cattle.
According to Serumola, the 21-year old student who had been reported as a missing person two weeks ago used a piece of wire to take his life. “His body had already decomposed when he was discovered. It looked like he had been dead for more than three days,” said Serumola.
The concerned Station Commander added that they are still investigating what could have led the man to take his own life. “He did not leave any suicide note. Suicide cases are increasing every month and this is worrisome,” he said and urged people to always seek advice whenever they have problems.
