With only a week before the country goes for the polls, the Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) will today (Friday) alongside Black Money Makers woo young people to participate in the next week’s election process.

Dubbed One Youth One Vote, the event to be held at the Francistown stadium starting at 10am until late is aimed at encouraging the youths to exercise their democratic right in voting the leadership of their choice.

This follows the realization that a number of youths in Botswana do not take part in an election process.

With youths constituting almost 60 percent of the country’s 2.1 million people Black Money Makers Manager Johnson Otsilewame approached the BNYC to come up with a musical event aimed at encouraging young people to vote.

Otsilewame said it is high time young people of this country should stop complaining about some of the discrepancies by the leadership.

He said Odirile Vee Sento will headline the event while Atlasaone Molemogi (A.T.I), Karabo Seelo of the Mokaragana fame and several DJs will entertain.
