Barclays Bank of Botswana has launched an enhancement on Hello Money, their mobile banking platform aimed at increasing the convenience of money transfers for their customers, called Barclays Pingit.
This is a person-to-person mobile payment solution from any bank in the UK to Barclays customers in Botswana, who have signed up for Hello Money locally. The functionality lets one send money in real time, safely and securely. It is fast and hassle.
HATAB CONFERENCE RETURNS
Hospitality & Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB) will host their popular event in Kasane on the 3rd and 4th May at Cresta Mowana Safari resort and Spa in Kasane.
The event will be held under the theme ‘Tourism: Key to Sustainable Development and Promotion.’
Botswana Confederation of Commerce Industry and Manpower Alex Monchusi is expected to be the guest speaker.
FOOD BILL AT COMMITTEE STAGE
Parliament has passed the Food Control Bill of 2012 for committee stage.
Presented for second reading by the Assistant Minister of Health, Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri on Tuesday, the bill proposes to amend the definition of a health officer under the current Food Control Act to align it with the definition in the Public Health Bill Act of 2013 which was passed last month.
