Francistown artists come together to raise funds for a pre-school
Bonnana Grooming Centre, an English medium pre-school in Ntshe will host a fundraising dinner on 2nd March at Adansonia hotel.
The school established on the 17th April 2012 provides different activities that help ensure better development of the children’s education. The children at Bonnana are taught computer skills and swimming lessons.
The school also has holiday facilities and provide an accommodative environment for younger babies.
The Managing Director Sibongile Ntema labeled her school as the first to provide cots for working mothers with no baby minders.
Speaking to this publication Ntema said funds raised from the dinner will be used for charity and to further development the school.
“ We are also hopeful that we can create a lot of opportunities on a yearly basis for the children to enroll with us by buying more resources and growing from a pre primary to a primary school” said Ntema.
Offering bursaries through companies is also the school’s main aim; Ntema said they therefore urge the business community and individuals to adopt their school.
She gratefully thanked the few companies that have agreed to be their main sponsors pointing out that she already has a jingle currently playing on Duma Fm.
The Voice newspaper is also the main sponsor of the fundraising dinner as well as Adansonia Hotel being the host.
“MC Maswe is one of our supporters too. He has helped us a lot,’’ said Ntema.
The event is expected to attract host at least 500 people with a ticket sold at P250 per person.
“We would appreciate any kind of support whether small or big it would be a great honor.’’
Mc Maswe will be performing at the event alongside the Beauty Queens, Ras T and Bana Bana Ba Ntogwa.
