We are taking on Uniao Flamengo Santos over the weekend minus-me as you all know.
I was at the ground on Tuesday and the boys looked confident. We scored four past them in the first round and I netted in a beautiful header. I won’t be there to repeat the heroics but am sure the boys will do the job.
WILL MISS GOALS
While I will miss the boys and scoring goals I have to point out that the league will now be tougher.
There won’t be any easy game because even the so called small teams are now geared for the second round. I have a feeling that there would be no huge margins like in the first round; that is why they say the league is won in the first round.
While many people may be thinking I am worried about losing the top goal scorer award I have to point out that it is not something I think a lot about.
It puts other players like Sekhana Koko in a big position to peel away and eventually claim the Green Boot. I am actually more worried about Chiefs not winning the league than a personal award. It will not be easy for anyone though to start chasing me for goals even if I was playing, goals are just a gamble.
We have actually gone 10 places down in the FIFA rankings and four in the continent.
People must not just think we fell because we lost six to Mali; rankings are done in such a complicated manner. We may still rise without having played. I know Zambia have gone up but still not above Ivory Coast which they beat
I WILL WATCH GAMES
Many people have been asking me whether I will go and watch Chiefs play, well I will without a doubt.
I am now a spectator; just a player who arrived at this very strong and ambitious team. I’m not Chiefs, the team will still exist even if I was to leave, and that’s why I’m really concerned that much about missing a couple of games. It will hurt though watching my mates play but I will live with it.
