In its 15th year of operation, Botho College boasts the best accounting and computing programmes from Certificate to Masters degree levels and over 16 000 graduates to date.
The college that sits on a 10 000m2 piece of land in Kgale with other centres in Francistown and Maun is one of the largest private tertiary education provider operating in the country since 1997. Among its many firsts, Botho College is the first private tertiary institution to be accredited by the Tertiary Education Council (TEC).
All its programmes are also accredited by the Botswana Training Authority (BOTA). The Administration and Stakeholder Relations Director at Botho College, Ravi Srinivasan, this week spoke highly of the institution that he described as a premier quality tertiary educational provider.
“We operate in a very conducive and convenient learning environment with outdoor recreational areas that include a 700sqm shaded seating area with wi-fi and sporting facilities for Basket ball, tennis, volleyball, netball and an informal soccer field.
The campus is well planned, secure and is built as per health and safety regulations. There is ample shaded car parking area and landscaped area around for students to relax. The classrooms are fully networked and each seat is computerized. The facilities include a large well equipped library which has access to online journals for research, it also gives the opportunity to all that one to keep a personal journal to click here to create an online journal which will have total privacy.
Senior students are supplied with laptops for their personal use and the campus includes a dedicated laptop help desk,” he said.
Among its success stories, Srinivasan says, the college has produced prominent people including Permanent Secretaries and senior government officials who were advancing their education. “In every organization and government offices that I enter I find a lot of our graduates and it’s so fulfilling to know that we are doing such a good job in the country’s education system. The college counts Zebras player, Mogakolodi ‘Tsotso’ Ngele and female boxer and Olympics hopeful Pearl Morake among its host of successful athletes.

A few key departments include the Management Information Services (MIS) Department which is the central repository of all student related personal and academic information at Botho College.
