Kgatleng Legends Extravaganza

Kgosi Kgafela

There will be a historical football showpiece this weekend on Sunday. The football expo titled Kgatleng Legends Extravaganza will pit some of the Kgatleng yester year players together. All the good players from this region that you can think of will be there. The likes of Matshidiso Sexton Kowa, Louis Setshwane, the Koitsiwe’s, even the Paramount Chief Kgosi Kgafela II and many more will display their skills at the Buffaloes grounds in Mochudi. This will be of a family fun day with gates opening in the mornings. Centre Chiefs and obviously yours truly will be there to play against the Kgatleng region select.

Four out of four
Oh yes it is true that I have scored four goals out of four games. I don’t care much about individual glory but I’m quite happy that I have managed to consistently find the back of the

GOOD EYE: Moloi (r)

net.It doesn’t mean I have reached my best yet but I’m in the right direction. When am at my best I don’t score but rather create. I’m even hurt by the goal I scored against BDF X1 because we didn’t win that game. Against Santos this past weekend we had a good game. We forced them to commit errors. Our new boy Arnold Chaka scored from a corner kick. Mine was a cross from Mara Moloi. This however doesn’t mean Santos is a bad side.

 Waiting for ECCO

CELEBRATION TIME: Ecco during an earlier match

It would be my first game against ECCO since joining Chiefs. I missed a penalty against them while at Rollers but I still however scored a brace in the same match. I can see from training that the guys are geared for the clash. The rivalry between Ecco and Chiefs is well documented, and I expect another tough match this weekend.  The rivalry can be compared to that of Rollers and Gaborone United. Personally while at Rollers we never had a tough time against ECCO, so I hope that will continue. Right now I just want to be focused on the game.

Champions League
The biggest football tournament has just begun. UEFA Champions League is the cream of football, where stars from different continents would be captivating millions of soccer lovers

across the world. It is not yet at an interesting stage. I like it with two group matches remaining where fans would be discussing probabilities of their favourite teams meeting their most feared opponents in the knockout stages. This week defending champions, Barcelona and my very own Arsenal drew which is a sign that we can’t start the excitement now. This could be the trickiest UEFA ever!
