A 32-year-old man was sentenced to 12 years behind bars after he was found guilty of raping his niece at knifepoint on the 3rd of September 2012.
It took almost five years for justice to catch up with Modise Sebadireng.
However, on Tuesday morning at Selebi-Phikwe magistrates court, Sebadireng, who hails from Dimajwe village, was convicted of the vicious rape of his then 17-year-old niece.
The attack occurred in the bushes of Tsampane cattle post, which is located between Gojwane and Dimajwe.
Sebadireng, who has a string of other convictions, dragged his victim into the bush at a knifepoint, before subsequently raping her.
He now has a dozen years in prison to reflect on his crime.
